Transfers and Teams

Online transfers will close at 12:00 pm PST on the Wednesday before race-day.

➡ We charge a $20 administrative fee for all transfers.

Changes made on-site will incur a $35 administrative fee.

➡ We cannot guarantee t-shirt sizes for transfer recipients registering after May 21st.

How to transfer?

  1. Send $20 via PayPal to orders@bikemonkey.net to cover the transfer fee.
  2. Email Clémence at clemence@bikemonkey.net with the name and email address of the rider taking your spot.
  3. New rider: Make sure to register using the transfer code you will receive from Clémence.
  4. You're in!

Here is some of the equipment your race entry has helped to purchase for Camp Wente's trail network management crews.

The entire weekend of bliss and giving all wrapped up together and tied with a bow.

Parking

Parking at Wente can be a challenge, so we want to do it right. This year, we are implementing a new parking plan to make your life easier. Read the Rules section for now and look out for an email with more details the week before the event.

There will be a $40 fee (cash only) per vehicle for any vehicle transporting non racers or non volunteers only so keep in mind that 1) carpool is cool and 2) carpool with a racer is even better (and saves you 10 bucks).

Rules

Rules. We gotta have 'em. You can't make a mistake if you know what mistakes can be made.

Camping

  1. Camping is first-come / first-serve.
  2. Trailers and Van Campers must be registered with us in advance. No on site registration. You will be asked to show proof of registration.
  3. You can't park at your campsite; unload your camping gear and go park in a designated parking area.
  4. Once you have claimed your site, go to the general store and indicate where you are located.
  5. WEED: Marijuana is not permitted at Camp Wente. If you are caught with it, you may be asked to leave. BSA follows Federal law which on private property supersedes California law.

Dogs

  1. Dogs are no longer allowed at Wente. We are sorry. There are no exceptions to this rule. Period. There have been too many incidents in the first three years related to dogs and their owners. Unfortunately this rule applies to everyone, even if your dog is perfect in every way.

Fire

  1. Fire can be bad, and it only allowed in existing campfire rings.
  2. There is a fire bell near the lake. If there is an uncontrolled fire, RING THE BELL.

Parking

  1. You must park in designated parking areas only. They will be marked. Do not park where you see tape.
  2. You can't park (or camp) by the bike program test ride loop.
  3. You can't park at your campsite (unless you have reserved your RV spot or Van Camp spot).
  4. There is a $40 vehicle fee (cash only) per vehicle for any vehicle transporting non racers only, so carpool, and with a racer if you can!

Arrival / Departure

  1. DO NOT EXCEED 10 MILES PER HOUR. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. IT IS SLOW!!! YOU WILL BE YELLED AT AND HAVE THINGS THROWN AT YOUR CAR IF YOU BREAK THIS RULE. THERE ARE KIDS RUNNING AROUND, BIKES EVERYWHERE, AND THERE WILL BE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR DRIVING FASTER THAN 10MPH AT WENTE.
  2. You may arrive Friday morning as early as 10:00 am to grab your campsite for the weekend.
  3. You may not arrive during the race start, and you may not depart until the race has wound down at 3:00 pm on Saturday.
  4. You may hang out until Sunday afternoon. Then, you gots to go.

Racing

  1. All racers start together at 8:00 am Saturday.
  2. On lap 1, all riders' lap times start at 8:00 am, and conclude when you pass through the finish arch.
  3. For teams, a rider's lap time begins when their teammate completes their lap.
  4. You may start a lap up until 4:00 pm.
  5. Laps must be completed by 5:00 pm, when timing stops.
  6. Being mean or unfair to others will get you disqualified.
